UK: Graduate visa application fee now £937 (in force from 8 April 2026)
The up-front application fee for the Graduate route increased as part of the March 2026 immigration changes. Budget it alongside the Immigration Health Surcharge when you model post-study costs.
What changed
From 8 April 2026, the Graduate visa application fee is £937 for the main applicant (check the current fee table on GOV.UK and your application date; fees are adjusted periodically).
How to use this in planning
If you are building a "total cost of a UK master's + post-study year" model, the Graduate step is not only the IHS and living costs — the visa fee is a line item. Together with the upcoming shorter grant period for many students from 2027, the post-study phase is structurally more expensive and time-constrained than the old "2 years at the old fee" picture.
For Pakistani students, also remember the credibility story: the Home Office and your sponsor are looking for a coherent plan for how you will fund the Graduate period.
