Study in United States
The US is home to the most prestigious universities in the world. While expensive, generous financial aid and scholarships make it accessible for top Pakistani students.
Who is this destination right for?
The US is the primary destination for S4 Research Academics β funded STEM PhD programmes and Fulbright are the routes that make it viable for Pakistani students. For S2 Credential Upgraders, a US master's is typically self-funded and very expensive; it makes sense only for specific fields or universities where the credential has outsized value. The US is not relevant for S1 (no government scholarships at scale), S3 (no PR pathway from study), or S5 (MBBS is not structured like Pakistani or UK medical training). Visa rejection rates for Pakistani nationals are higher than for most other countries β factor this into your planning.
