How to apply
HEC scholarship portal — after securing admission to an eligible US university
PhD only. Applicants must already hold admission to an eligible QS-ranked US university. Category I = Top 50 QS (tuition per invoice); Category II = QS 51–100 (tuition capped at USD 12,000/year). Both: stipend USD 19,200/year + health insurance USD 2,000/year. GRE General ≥300 OR HAT ≥60%.
What it covers
- tuition
- annual stipend
- health insurance
Consultant warning
This is an HEC-run scholarship. Consultants cannot nominate candidates. Paying someone to "process" a Knowledge Corridor file does not improve HEC selection odds; the binding constraint is usually securing a qualifying US PhD admission first.
Common mistakes
- Applying without a qualifying US PhD admission offer
- Assuming Master's programmes are covered — they are not
- Missing GRE/HAT minimums
- Assuming Category II fully covers high US tuition — cap is USD 12,000/year; plan for differentials
- Using an outdated QS band from old HEC HTML — official ad uses Top 100 / 51–100
